Choosing Fairtrade products is an easy and effective way to ensure that producers and growers in the developing world get a fair price for their goods. But there are plenty more ways to support Fairtrade, such as signing petitions, promoting Fairtrade in your workplace and encouraging your local supermarket to stock more Fairtrade products.

Take part in Oxfam's Biggest Coffee Break and help fight poverty – one cup at a time.
This year over 17,000 people - from Bluff to Kaitaia – took part in Oxfam’s Biggest Coffee Break, raising awareness and money to help struggling growers to work their way out of poverty. Almost 700 event organisers have pledged to raise a phenomenal $40,000 dollars for Oxfam's work.
Next year, we are planning to make the event even bigger and better, and we're hoping you'll take part too. Watch this space to find out more - we'll be opening registration early 2010.

Oxfam’s partner in Samoa, Women in Business has recently secured a deal to supply the Body Shop International with organic coconut oil under the Body Shop’s Community Trade programme, which uses fair trade principles. The deal is a significant break-through for Women in Business who work with farmers throughout Samoa to help them get a better deal for their products through selling to the organic and fair trade markets.
