Since its beginning in October 2003, Control Arms has gathered the support of over one million people worldwide. In December 2006, 153 governments voted at the United Nations to start work developing an international Arms Trade Treaty.

Negotiations are underway on the terms of the Arms Trade Treaty, leading up to a conference in 2012 when we hope member states will develop, sign and ratify an international Arms Trade Treaty.
