Oxfam New Zealand in India
In recent years we have provided support for the following long-term water and sanitation projects:
- Safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion in rural villages in Madhya Pradesh.
- Working to improve community health and natural resources management in Dharampur.
- Unwrapped gifts make a splash in India: families reap the benefits of Oxfam's gift of safe water.
Emergency work
- Tsunami disaster
Oxfam responded immediately to the devastating Boxing Day tsunami of 2004. We followed this up with five years of recovery work in affected countries, including India.
