Our partner: Forum Fair Trade Indonesia (FFTI)

FFTI is developing a system of Fairtrade across Indonesia to give more opportunity for producers to improve their quality of life .
  • Headquarters: Denpassar, Bali
  • Website: http://en.ffti.info/
  • Mission: Increase the level of income of rural communities in Indonesia through the adoption of a value-added Fairtrade system of production that will lead to greater market access for rural producers.

Forum Fair Trade Indonesia (FFTI) represents nine different member organisations that engage with 4,500 producers of Fairtrade products across Indonesia, from Bali and Jakarta to Sulawesi and Yogyakarta. These organisations directly represent Fairtrade farmers, weavers, fishermen and craftspeople.

The aim of FFTI is to increase the level of income of rural communities in Indonesia through the adoption of a value-added Fairtrade system of production that will lead to greater market access for rural producers.

FFTI has the capacity to educate producers on Fairtrade practices, developing business plans, networking to develop partnerships and potential markets for their Fairtrade products.

Of equal importance to FFTI is their work around raising awareness of Fairtrade and the subsequent benefits. They actively promote Fairtrade products to both the growing Indonesian market and also foreign consumers. FFTI ensures that the benefits of Fairtrade flow to producers and their communities.
