Together, we are building a more just, inclusive, and sustainable world for women like Yeasmin (left) in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.
Since August 2017, close to a million Rohingya people, more than half of them children, have fled violence in Myanmar to seek refuge in camps across the border in Bangladesh. Oxfam provides vital aid including clean water to help prevent outbreaks of disease and solar-powered lanterns to help women feel safer at night. Just as importantly, we also organise skills trainings where women teach women to read, write and make items like clothing and fishing nets that could earn them an income. All of Oxfam's work aims to change unfair underlying systems, so that everyone has the education, resources, and opportunities they need not just to survive, but thrive.
