Oxfam's livelihoods programmes help people earn a steady, sustainable income so that they can pay for their children's school fees, improve their homes, and save for emergencies. The people we work with rely on raising livestock like goats or chickens to make this income from milk and eggs and our programmes support their efforts by helping them gain leadership positions, be involved in community decision-making, and get climate funding from their governments. All of our work aims to change unfair underlying systems, so that everyone has the education, resources, and opportunities they need not just to survive, but thrive.
