Oxfam's climate change adaptation programmes help farmers improve their agricultural yields by using sustainable cultivation methods and crop diversification in combination with erosion control measures. The people we work with rely on these techniques, such as using a manure pit to create compost for fertiliser, to make this income and our programmes support their efforts by helping them gain leadership positions, be involved in community decision-making, and get climate funding from their governments. All of Oxfam's work aims to change unfair underlying systems, so that everyone has the education, resources, and opportunities they need not just to survive, but thrive.
