Data Processing Officer

12 month fixed term contract, Auckland

Oxfam New Zealand is an international development agency affiliated to Oxfam International.  We work to overcome poverty and injustice and provide well targeted, practical support to communities in the Pacific and Southeast Asia, to help them work their way out of poverty.

To support our fundraising initiatives, the Database team provides a range a bespoke services to members of our campaigns, marketing and fundraising teams and is responsible for ensuring our supporter database, Raiser’s Edge, maintains a robust structure and high data integrity.

The team is currently looking for an efficient Data Processing Officer to take on responsibility for processing all income payments and supporter donations and for importing data into the Raiser’s Edge database. You will also be responsible for performing monthly reconciliation reports for our finance team and will assist with ongoing maintenance of the database to ensure the integrity of the data held.

Our ideal candidate will have an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, a relevant tertiary qualification (or commensurate experience), good experience of using databases (Access and Raiser’s Edge preferred) and of data entry, trouble shooting and data maintenance work. You will also be numerate, have fast, accurate typing (min 45 wpm), good initiative, flexibility,  a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and be able to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
