Face-to-Face Team Leader

Background:

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together for a future without poverty. We give a hand up, not a hand out – to create positive change that lasts. Oxfam works in three ways: we respond to emergencies, saving lives and helping survivors recover; we provide people with the skills and resources to lift themselves out of poverty; and we campaign to change the unjust policies that keep people in poverty.

This role sits in the Supporter Relations team within Oxfam New Zealand’s (ONZ) Engagement Directorate. The Engagement Directorate’s role is to engage, educate and publicise the work of Oxfam within New Zealand and raise vital public funds for our advocacy, humanitarian and development work. The Supporter Relations team has the primary responsibility for supporter outreach, recruitment, retention and administration.

The Face to Face Fundraising Team supports this by holding conversations with the New Zealand public, letting them know about Oxfam’s work, and inspiring them to support us by becoming regular monthly donors.

Job purpose:

Be responsible for leading a high performing team of F2F Fundraisers who inspire members of the public to become regular givers by effectively managing their performance, on site coaching, motivation and support. Play a central role in informing, inspiring and mobilising New Zealanders to support Oxfam’s work and expand our financial supporter base by recruiting new regular givers through face to face dialogue.
