Amina Abdi is doing everything she can to provide for her children. In Ethiopia, her community’s water supply has disappeared, forcing her to walk hours each day just to find clean water.

When Amina’s eldest daughter was old enough, she began making that same long journey herself. She leaves before the sun even comes up, so her mother can stay home with her younger siblings.

For Anisa, a mother in Somalia, the drought took everything. Her goats, her sheep, her livelihood. With no water and no food left, she was forced to leave her home in search of survival. Now, hunger is a constant threat to her children’s health and future.
