Fair Trade Me celebrity auctions

In 2011 eight Trade Me users bid an impressive $4590 combined for dates with some of New Zealand’s favourite celebs.

Thanks again to all the celebrities who proudly supported this year's celebrity auctions by auctioning dates with their good selves on Trade Me.

Here's the breakdown of bids:

• A Fairtrade cuppa with Antonia Prebble, on the set of her new film, went for $620
• Sharing design ideas in Kate Sylvester’s studio: $1060
• A delicious lunch at Wellington’s Logan Brown with restaurateur Steve Logan: $850
• Meeting Jeremy Corbett and Paul Ego on the set of 7 Days: $600
• A cuppa at a café by the ocean with Don McGlashan: $300
• Breakfast on Jason Gunn’s Big Breakfast show on Classic Hits: $350
• A night of comedy with Michele A’Court and Jeremy Elwood: $305
• And a coffee on the set of Shortland Street with stars Sarah Thomson and Robbie Magasiva: $505.

All proceeds from the auctions are now being put to work across the Pacific and Southeast Asia.

Oxfam's Biggest Coffee Break 2010 highlights

In 2010, six Trade Me users bid an impressive total of $8000 to attend Fairtrade coffee dates with their favourite New Zealand celeb.

An hour with Trade Me founder Sam Morgan went for a whopping $3030; a coffee with comedian Te Radar $1200; a night at the theatre with Robyn Malcolm, $710; sharing design ideas in Kate Sylvester’s studio $1000; a delicious lunch at Wellington’s Logan Brown with restaurateur Steve Logan $870; and a coffee and a studio tour with the gorgeous Shortland Street actress Faye Smythe $1100.
